Immaculate Asiala Maumoh is an Advocate at Midikira & Company Advocates. Her key strength lies in her capability of handling challenging legal problems from a social perspective geared towards holistic improvement of humanity. She also has an interest in developing local jurisprudence to fit the local circumstances of any given jurisdiction. At Midikira & Company Advocates, her duties include drafting legal documents and pleadings, researching on various issues on law and writing legal opinion, responding to clients’ issues, providing legal advice, conveyancing, drafting statements and litigation.
Mauomoh has expansive experience in the legal practice having served in various capacities at different firms and institutions including interning at the Nairobi Law Courts. Here, her duties included drafting opinions on ruling and judgments with the assistance of the magistrate in charge, advising on the relevant laws, research work on various cases and recording proceedings in court. She also served as a Legal Assistant at Jane Gachuiga & Associates Advocates and at Okulo & Company Advocates where she was tasked with drafting legal documents and pleadings, researching on various issues on law and writing legal opinions, responding to clients’ issues, providing legal advice, conveyancing and drafting statements. She has also been employed as an insurance sales representative where she was tasked with advising clients on the type of insurance policy to take, selling insurance policies and assisting clients in making claims.
Mauomoh has an LLB from Moi University and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Kenya School of Law. She has authored several research articles including Election Offences in Kenya: Need for new responses, The Legal Status of Abortion, Devolution of Power in the Constitution of Kenya as Compared to the Bomas Draft, An Assessment of the Legal Fees Chargeable under the Advocates Remuneration Order, and The Dangers of FGM to the Girl Child.
